InsightSocial API

n8n integration

Use the InsightSocial API in n8n with the official community node, or start from two free workflows for viral content research and creator outreach lists.

The n8n-nodes-insightsocial community node calls any InsightSocial endpoint from an n8n workflow. It reads the live endpoint catalogue, so every endpoint, parameter and price shows up in n8n as soon as the API has it, with no node update.

Install the node

In n8n, open Settings → Community nodes → Install and enter:

Package name
n8n-nodes-insightsocial

On a self-hosted n8n you can also run npm install n8n-nodes-insightsocial in your custom folder (usually ~/.n8n/custom) and restart n8n.

Add your key

Create an API key at insightsocial.app/portal/api/keys. Keys start with isk_.

In n8n, create an InsightSocial API credential and paste the key. Leave the base URL as it is.

Click Test. It calls GET /v1/credits, which is free.

Operations

OperationWhat it doesCost
Call EndpointPick a platform and an endpoint, fill in its parameters, get the dataThe endpoint's price
Get CreditsYour balance and this month's usageFree
List EndpointsEvery endpoint on a platform, with its parameters and priceFree

The endpoint dropdown shows each price, for example Profile (20 credits) or Post/Comments (20-140 credits, metered), so you can see what a workflow costs before you run it. Failed calls and empty results are free.

Ready-made workflows

Both are free to import and need only an InsightSocial key.

WorkflowWhat it builds
Viral Content RadarEvery weekday, this week's top TikToks and Reels in your niche, the top video's transcript, and an AI brief on why they spread
Creator Outreach ListInstagram creators posting about your keywords, with the business email and phone from their contact card, deduped into Google Sheets or CSV

Without the node

Any n8n HTTP Request node works too: send a GET to https://api.insightsocial.app/v1/... with your key in an x-api-key header. The endpoint reference lists every path and parameter.
