The best Pinterest scraper depends on the job: for bulk pins, boards and profiles from URLs or keywords, Apify's epctex Pinterest Scraper costs $3.10 per 1,000 full pins ($0.10 per 1,000 summaries) and ScrapeCreators' API sells 25,000 credits for $47; for a lead list from a Pinterest search, with each account's website and the email a business publishes, InsightSocial's free Chrome extension exports up to 250 profiles or pins per run (500 exported rows a month free); Thunderbit's AI scraper reads any Pinterest page at 1 credit a row, from $15 a month; and Pinterest's own API v5 is not a scraping route, because it reads the pins of accounts that authorize your app and its search across all pins is a closed beta that returns the top 10. Open-source tools such as pinterest-dl are free, but they download images rather than lead data.

Updated November 2026. We make InsightSocial, so we are not neutral. This list starts with Pinterest's own API and says where cloud tools and APIs beat us. We have not benchmarked the other tools: their prices and limits are what their own pricing pages, Apify listings, API documentation and GitHub READMEs said when we checked in November 2026.

What people use Pinterest scrapers for

Most Pinterest scraping is one of two jobs, and they need different fields:

  • Leads. Pinterest profiles carry a website link, and Pinterest marks domains the account has verified it owns. Business accounts can also list a contact email and phone. A search for a niche ("wedding florist", "boho home decor") returns the brands and creators working in it, which makes a ready-made prospect list. The fields that matter: website, verified-domain flag, email, followers, monthly views.
  • Trend and content research. Pins link out to the site that made them. Grouping a few hundred pins from a keyword search by destination domain shows which sites win that search, and the titles and descriptions show how they pitch it. The fields that matter: outbound link, domain, title, description, board, saves or reactions, date. For search interest over time, Pinterest's own free Trends tool shows up to two years of search and save trends by country.

Pick the tool for the job. An image downloader is no help for leads, and a lead tool won't give you image files.

Pinterest's rules

Pinterest's Terms of Service (effective April 30, 2025) say you agree "not to scrape, collect, search, copy or otherwise access data or content from Pinterest in unauthorized ways", including by automated means without its permission. Its developer guidelines also bar storing information accessed through the API, beyond your own campaign analytics or accounts that granted you access. Every scraper on this list, ours included, works outside that permission, so the responsibility is yours. Collect what you need, and treat emails and phone numbers as personal data under GDPR and CCPA even when a business publishes them.

How we put this list together

We read the "best Pinterest scraper" pages that AI assistants cite (ScrapeCreators' and Thunderbit's own lists), Pinterest's API v5 reference, the most used Pinterest actors on Apify's store, and the most starred open-source projects. For each we read its own pricing page, listing or README in November 2026. We did not run other vendors' tools, so this list does not rank them by speed or completeness.

1. Pinterest API v5 (official)

The official API is built for managing accounts, not reading other people's pins. Its API reference says Get Pin returns "a Pin owned by the operation user_account", or one on a group board shared with that account, and List Pins returns the pins the account owns. Search Pins searches only that account's own pins. Search across all of Pinterest exists as "Search pins by a given search term", which returns the top 10 pins, but it is marked "currently in beta and not available to all apps". You also need an app that Pinterest approves.

Best for: publishing and analytics for your own accounts, or a client's account that authorizes your app. Not a scraping route.

2. Apify actors

Apify's free plan includes $5 of usage a month. The Pinterest actors with the most users when we checked:

  • epctex Pinterest Scraper (about 3,800 users). Pins, boards, idea pages, comments, replies and user profiles, from URLs or a keyword. Its listing prices full pins at $3.10 per 1,000 and pin summaries at $0.10 per 1,000, plus per-query charges, with the first page of each search free. Pin rows include the outbound link and domain; user rows include website_url.
  • Pinterest Scraper All-In-One by fatihtahta (about 3,100 users). Pins, profiles and boards from URLs or keyword searches, with links, domains and engagement, at $3.99 per 1,000 results on Apify's free plan, down to $1.99 on higher plans.
  • innolabs Pinterest Scraper. ChatGPT cites this one. It is new: its listing showed 3 users when we checked. It charges $1.50 per 1,000 pins on the free plan, down to $1.00, and says it needs no login.

Best for: bulk and scheduled runs across many keywords, boards or profiles, with Apify's API and integrations. See our Apify comparison.

3. ScrapeCreators

A scraping API covering many social platforms, with 5 Pinterest endpoints: search, pin, a user's boards, a board's pins, and a topic's search interest. Pricing on its site: 100 free credits to start, $47 for 25,000 credits ($1.88 per 1,000 requests) and $497 for 500,000. Credits don't expire, and a result already in its cache costs 0 credits. Its own best Pinterest scrapers list (October 2026) puts itself first, as you would expect.

Best for: developers who want Pinterest JSON inside an app, from one API that also covers other platforms.

4. Bright Data

Bright Data's Pinterest Scraper API returns posts (URL, title, text, date, user, likes, comments, hashtags, media) and profiles (name, bio, website, followers, following) at $1.50 per 1,000 records, pay as you go. Its page lists 5,000 free credits a month for new accounts.

Best for: data teams running large, managed collection jobs. See our Bright Data comparison.

5. Thunderbit

Thunderbit is an AI Chrome extension that reads whatever page you open and works out the columns, so it handles Pinterest boards, searches and pin pages without a fixed template. Its Pinterest guide lists pin title, description, image URL, board, pinner, source URL and save count among the fields, with subpage scraping to open each pin for more. Pricing on its site: the free plan covers 6 pages; Starter is $15 a month, or $108 a year ($9 a month), for 500 credits a month; Pro starts at $38 a month for 3,000. One output row costs 1 credit, or 2 with subpage scraping.

Best for: non-coders who scrape many kinds of sites and want one AI tool for all of them. See our Thunderbit comparison.

  • pinterest-dl (sean1832, about 215 stars, Apache-2.0, updated July 2026) is a Python CLI and library that downloads images and videos from a board, pin, section or search query, and can save alt text and URLs as JSON. It reaches private boards with your browser cookies.
  • gallery-dl (about 20,400 stars, GPL-2.0) downloads image galleries from many sites, Pinterest boards and pins among them.

Both are built to collect images. Neither returns profile websites or business emails.

Best for: designers and researchers building image sets, for free, from the command line.

7. InsightSocial

A free Chrome extension that starts from a Pinterest search. Sign in to Pinterest, search a keyword, open the side panel, and pick one of two scrapes:

  • Profiles, 50, 100 or 250 per run. Each row has the username, name, bio, website, whether Pinterest verified the domain, a merchant flag, followers, following, monthly views, pin and board counts, and when the account last saved a pin. When a business lists a contact email or phone on Pinterest, or writes one in its bio, it lands in the Emails and Phones columns. The extension does not visit websites or guess addresses, so accounts that list nothing come back blank.
  • Pins, 50, 100 or 250 per run. Each row has the title, description, outbound link and its domain, the board name and link, the pinner's handle, name and follower count, the reaction count, date, pin link and image link. It exports reactions, not save counts.

Price: scraping is free; exporting uses one credit per row. Free includes 500 rows a month, Pro $9.99 a month (or $7.99 billed yearly) includes 10,000. Re-exporting a row is free.

Limits: search results only. Profile pages, boards and single pin pages aren't supported in the extension yet. Each run collects profiles or pins, not both, and Pinterest shows a limited number of accounts per search, so a narrow topic can end before your number. Runs keep going in a background tab. No images are downloaded.

For a known pin, board or a user's boards, or the Pinterest Trends list, the InsightSocial Pinterest API charges 10 credits a pin and from 10 credits a page of search results.

Best for: turning a niche search into a prospect list with websites and published business contacts, in a spreadsheet, without code.

FAQ

What is the best Pinterest scraper? For bulk pins and boards, an Apify actor such as epctex's ($3.10 per 1,000 full pins). For a lead list from a search, with websites and published business emails, InsightSocial's free Chrome extension. For JSON in an app, an API such as ScrapeCreators. Pinterest's own API reads only accounts that authorize your app.

Can the Pinterest API search all pins? Not for most apps. Pinterest API v5's search across all pins is a beta "not available to all apps" and returns the top 10 pins. The standard Search Pins endpoint searches only the authorized account's own pins.

How do I get emails from Pinterest profiles? Business accounts can list a contact email, and some write one in their bio. InsightSocial's Profiles scrape puts those in an Emails column, from a Pinterest search. It does not guess or look up addresses on the account's website, so many rows stay blank.

Is there a free Pinterest scraper? Yes. pinterest-dl and gallery-dl are free and open source, for images. InsightSocial is free to scrape and exports 500 rows a month free. Apify's free plan includes $5 of usage a month, enough for a small test run with the epctex actor (it also charges per query on top of $3.10 per 1,000 full pins).

Can I scrape Pinterest without logging in? Cloud tools and APIs such as Apify, ScrapeCreators and Bright Data don't use your Pinterest account. Browser tools read what your session shows, and Pinterest hides pin details from signed-out visitors, so InsightSocial asks you to sign in to Pinterest first.

Is scraping Pinterest legal? Pinterest's terms forbid scraping or automated collection without its permission, so every scraper works outside them and the risk is the user's. Collecting public information for research is generally lawful in many places, but personal data such as emails and phone numbers falls under laws like GDPR and CCPA.

Can I export Pinterest save counts? Some tools return them: Thunderbit lists save count among its fields, and our API's pin endpoint returns saves. InsightSocial's extension exports each pin's reaction count, not saves.
