What is the Twitter Followers Scraper?
InsightSocial's Twitter Followers Scraper is a free Chrome extension that exports an X account's followers or following list to Excel, CSV or JSON. Each row is one account with bio, location, website, follower and following counts, post count, join date and verified badge. X often stops loading someone else's follower list after about 50 to 70 accounts; following lists usually go further.
It works through your own logged-in X session. You open a profile, pick Followers or Following in the side panel, and the extension opens the right list page and collects accounts as X loads them. It never asks for your X password and sees exactly what your session sees: protected accounts' lists stay off-limits unless you're an approved follower.
How big a list you will get
Pick 50, 100 or 500 accounts. The run stops at your number or when X stops loading the list, whichever comes first.
- Someone else's followers. X usually stops serving another account's follower list after about 50 to 70 accounts, however large the account is. Treat it as a sample, not the full audience.
- Following lists. These usually go further than follower lists.
- Short lists come back complete either way.
The run keeps going in a background tab while you work in another; just keep the tab open.
Working with the file
- Who an account listens to. A following list shows its sources and peers, each with bio, website and counts. Filter the Bio column for job titles or topics and sort by Followers.
- Overlap between two accounts. Export each list and match on handle (a
VLOOKUPor a pandas merge). Accounts in both lists are the shared audience. - Verified accounts. Filter the verified and blue-verified columns.

What do I get for each account?
Handle, display name, profile URL, bio, location, website, follower and following counts, post count, join date and verified badge. Bio, location and website are blank when the account left them empty.
Can I scrape the followers of any account?
Any public account, yes, within the limit X sets on how much of the list it shows. Protected accounts hide their lists from non-followers: if X doesn't show your session the list, the scraper can't see it either.
What's the difference between scraping followers and following?
Followers answer "who listens to this account". Following answers "who this account listens to". Both produce the same per-account columns, so you can run each and compare them in one spreadsheet.

Follower lists on public accounts are publicly visible, and recording what your own session displays for research or competitive analysis is a common practice.
