A worked example: four coffee roasters on LinkedIn
You run a small coffee roastery and want to see how four rivals use their LinkedIn company pages.
Open the first roaster's LinkedIn company page, open the InsightSocial side panel, choose Posts and pick 100.
Click Scrape. You get one row per post: date, text, post type, reactions, comments, reposts and the post link.
Repeat for the other three pages, then export all four runs to one Google Sheet.
Add a column that adds up reactions, comments and reposts, and sort by it.
In one sheet you can now see who posts most often, which formats get the most comments, and which days each roaster posts on. To follow them over time, schedule the same runs weekly (Chrome must be open when a scheduled run fires).
The same steps work on a TikTok profile, an X account or a YouTube channel. The free plan includes 500 exported rows a month, enough for four runs of 100 posts.
About two minutes from install to your first run. No coding or API keys.

Frequently Asked Questions
Weekly works for most active competitors. You can set a recurring schedule in the extension; scheduled runs fire from your browser, so Chrome has to be open.
Start with 3-5 direct competitors and 2-3 industry leaders. Too many can be overwhelming; too few won't give you a complete picture.
Engagement per post (likes, comments and shares), engagement relative to follower count, posting frequency and which content formats get the most response. All of these come from the exported columns; you work them out in your spreadsheet.
Open their LinkedIn company page, open the InsightSocial side panel, choose the page's posts and click Scrape. When the run finishes, export to CSV or Excel, or send it to Google Sheets. Each row is one post with its text, type, date, reactions and comments.
Not as a history. A TikTok profile run records the follower count at the moment you run it. Schedule the same run weekly and compare the numbers over time.
Yes. InsightSocial works on TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Reddit and Pinterest. Scrape each competitor where they are most active, then combine the exports in one spreadsheet.
