Key Benefits

Everything you need to extract Reddit data efficiently

Follow a Topic Across Communities

Search all of Reddit for a term, or scope the query to one community with /r/{subreddit}/search. Both export the same way — use this when you care about a topic, and the Subreddit Scraper when you care about a community.

Your Search, Your Filters

Set sort (Relevance, Hot, Top, New, Comments) and timeframe on Reddit's own controls. The extension mirrors whatever you picked instead of making you configure it twice.

Engagement Signals Ready to Filter

Score, upvote ratio, comment count, and award totals on every row — sort by 'high comments, low upvote ratio' in Excel to find the contested threads.

No Reddit API Key

Skip the developer app, OAuth setup, and quota approval. The extension reads the same JSON your logged-in browser session already receives.

Add the Comment Trees in the Same Run

Switch to Posts + Comments and the extension collects the results first, then goes back through the top 25, 50, or 100 and drains each thread's entire discussion. One run, both halves.

Permalinks + Synced Dashboard

Every row includes a thread permalink, and results sync to your private dashboard for browsing, filtering, and re-exporting.

How to Use Reddit Search Results Scraper

Get started in under 2 minutes. No coding or API keys required.

  1. 1

    Install InsightSocial

Add the free Chrome extension. No credit card, no API keys, no coding.

  2. 2

    Run a Search on Reddit

Search from the Reddit search bar, or open a community and search inside it — reddit.com/search?q=... or reddit.com/r/{subreddit}/search?q=...

  3. 3

    Set Sort & Timeframe

Use Reddit's own Sort and Time controls on the results page. Relevance, Hot, Top, New, or Most Comments — the extension follows the page.

  4. 4

    Open the Extension

Click the InsightSocial icon. It detects the search page and shows the query and community it's scoped to.

  5. 5

Choose Posts or Posts + Comments

Posts collects 50, 100, or 250 results. Posts + Comments takes 25, 50, or 100 of them and adds each thread's full comment tree in a second pass.

  6. 6

Export to CSV, Excel, or JSON

One-click export for analysis, with posts and any captured comments in the same file.
