What is the TikTok Followers Scraper?
The InsightSocial TikTok followers scraper is a free Chrome extension that exports the followers (or the following list) of a public TikTok creator to CSV, Excel, or JSON. No developer application, no API key, no coding.
Before anything else, the number that actually matters, because almost every other page on this topic will not tell you: TikTok serves roughly 30 accounts from a follow list and then stops. That is TikTok's own limit on its own website, it applies to everyone who is not the account owner, and no browser extension can lift it. We would rather you read that here than discover it on your third run.
What the 30-row ceiling actually is
This is worth explaining precisely, because it is not a rate limit you can wait out and not a setting you can change.
Open any creator's follower list on tiktok.com yourself and scroll it. TikTok loads one page of about 30 accounts. Its own data says more are available (the list reports hasMore: true and hands out a cursor for the next page), but no second request is ever made, because TikTok's website contains no code path to request page two for a visitor who is not the account owner. We tested this exhaustively in 2026 against large public accounts: scrolling the container, real hardware-level wheel input, the End key, and scrolling the last row into view all produce exactly nothing. Calling the paging request directly returns an empty response even when the request is correctly signed.
So the honest ceiling is one page. In two weeks of production runs to September 2026, every run that captured anything stopped at 28–30 rows, against target accounts that list between 115 and 22.1 million followers. Our all-time maximum across every run ever recorded is 35. When TikTok stops early the extension says so on the result card, with the count it got and the total the account claims, rather than showing you a green checkmark over a partial list.
What it is genuinely good for
Given the ceiling, here is where this run earns its place, and where it does not.
| Use it for | Not for |
|---|---|
| The most recent ~30 followers of an account, which is what TikTok serves first | Exporting a large creator's whole audience |
| Small follow lists exported complete: a list under ~30 comes back in full | Audience overlap analysis between big accounts |
| A creator's following list, which is usually short and deliberate | Anything that needs a representative sample of a large list |
| A quick, rich sample: each row carries bio, follower count, likes, and verified status | Follower-graph datasets at scale |
The following list is the quietly useful one. Creators follow far fewer accounts than follow them, so a following list often comes back complete, and it reveals who a creator actually watches, collaborates with, and is influenced by. That is a real research answer in one run.
If you need audience data at volume, a single follower list is the wrong unit on TikTok. Collect the commenters under a creator's videos with the TikTok Comments Scraper instead: they are the active part of the audience, and each video gives you a fresh set.
What each row contains
Where TikTok is stingy with row count, it is generous with row content. Each of the ~30 accounts arrives with:
- Username (@handle) and display name
- Bio / signature text
- Avatar URL
- Follower count, following count, video count, total likes
- Verified badge and private-account flag
sec_uid, TikTok's stable internal handle, which survives a username change
That is enough to vet or rank the accounts you do get, which is the point: 30 fully-described creators beats 3,000 usernames for most research questions.
Who is it for?
- Creator scouts checking who a creator follows to find the next tier of talent
- Competitive analysts sampling the most recent followers of a rival account
- Market researchers mapping the small, deliberate following lists that show a niche's structure
- Agencies vetting a creator's follow graph before a partnership
- Content creators finding collaboration candidates among accounts a peer follows
Key Benefits
- Honest about the ceiling: the result card tells you when TikTok stopped early and how far short it fell, instead of presenting 30 rows as a finished job
- Rich rows: bio, counts, verification, and
sec_uid, not just handles - Both directions: Followers and Following are one scrape type; the following list is often complete
- Private accounts explained, not failed: a private account returns a clear reason rather than an empty screen
- No API, no coding: nothing to register, nothing to refresh
- Runs in your own session: no password shared, no third-party server logging into TikTok for you
How to Use the TikTok Followers Scraper
Step 1: Install the Extension
Install InsightSocial from the Chrome Web Store and sign in. It is free and asks for no card.
Step 2: Open the Creator's Profile
Go to tiktok.com/@username. You need to be logged into TikTok: the extension reads your own session and never asks for your password.
Step 3: Open the Sidebar
Click the InsightSocial icon. The sidebar reads the handle and shows it back to you, so you can confirm the target before anything runs.
Step 4: Pick Followers or Following
Followers exports who follows the creator; Following exports the accounts they follow. Targets of 50, 100, or 250 are offered, but read the ceiling section above before setting expectations on a large account: on most targets the run will end at about 30 regardless of the number you choose.
Step 5: Start the Scrape
Click "Scrape". The extension opens the follow list, captures what TikTok serves, and closes it again. Runs are short: seconds, not minutes.
Step 6: Export
Click "Export" and choose CSV, .xlsx, or JSON. Every run also syncs to your private InsightSocial portal, where you can re-export it later at no additional cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did I only get 30 followers from an account with 200,000?
Because TikTok stopped serving the list, not because the scrape failed. Its website loads one page of about 30 accounts to anyone who is not the account owner and then never requests another: there is no page-two code path in TikTok's own client to trigger. Retrying, waiting, or scrolling by hand does not change it, and no extension can. The extension reports the shortfall on the result card so you can see it plainly.
Is this a limit I can pay to remove?
No, and nobody can sell you one for this surface. It is TikTok's own behaviour on its own website, not a quota on our side. Scraping is unlimited on every InsightSocial plan; paid plans change how many rows you can export, not how many TikTok is willing to serve.
When does it return a complete list?
When the list is smaller than about 30, which is common for following lists. A creator following 32 accounts comes back essentially complete, with hasMore correctly reporting that there is nothing further. So the ceiling only bites on lists larger than one page.
Can I scrape followers of a private account?
No. TikTok shows a private account's follow lists only to its approved followers, and the extension sees exactly what your session sees. It says so on the result card rather than returning a silent zero.
What fields does each follower row include?
Username, display name, bio, avatar URL, follower count, following count, video count, total likes, verified badge, private flag, and sec_uid, TikTok's stable identifier, which is what you want as a join key because it survives a username change.
Does the export include emails or phone numbers?
No. A follow list has public profile fields only. If an account wrote an email in its bio, you can read it in the Bio column.
Can I export the following list as well?
Yes. Same scrape type, other direction, identical columns. On most creators it is the more complete of the two, since following lists are usually short.
Will the creator know I exported their followers?
No notification is sent. The extension reads the same follow dialog you see when browsing normally.
How much does it cost?
Scraping is free and unlimited on every plan. Only exporting is metered, one credit per row, and a row you already exported is free to export again. Free: 500 rows a month. Pro: 10,000 rows a month for $9.99 a month, or $7.99 a month billed yearly. Studio: 150,000 rows a month for $49 a month. One-time packs start at $2 for 250 rows.
Is scraping TikTok followers legal?
Collecting publicly visible data for research, competitive analysis, and audience measurement is long-established practice. Respect TikTok's Terms of Service and privacy law such as GDPR and CCPA, anonymise handles in anything you publish, and never use a follow list to target or harass an individual.
Getting more out of TikTok where the platform is more forthcoming: the TikTok Profile Scraper pulls a creator's videos and stats, the TikTok Comments Scraper exports the discussion under any video, and the TikTok Analytics Scraper turns a creator's recent output into engagement numbers. All of them sit on the TikTok scraper hub.
