How to Export Quora Answers to a Spreadsheet (2026)

Quora has no export button and no public API for questions and answers, so to get a question's answers into a spreadsheet you need a tool that reads the question page for you: the InsightSocial Chrome extension collects each answer and then the comments and replies under it, with author, credential, upvotes, views and date, up to about 3,000 rows per question, and exports them to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets. In our own runs in October 2026, a large question returned 3,024 rows (1,047 answers and 1,977 comments) in 2 minutes 26 seconds; smaller questions took 11 to 12 seconds.

Can you export Quora answers directly?

No. Quora does not offer a public API for questions, answers or profiles; the only developer API it publishes is a Conversion API for advertisers in Quora Ads Manager.

The question page is also hard to copy by hand. It loads answers as you scroll, collapses some of them, mixes in answers to related questions and, on many questions, an AI-generated answer. So "select all and paste" gives you a messy, partial page.

Depth 0 is an answer, depth 1 a comment on it, depth 2 a reply to that comment.

Method 1: A Chrome extension

With InsightSocial's Quora Scraper:

Install InsightSocial and sign in with Google.
Open the question on quora.com, or on a language site such as es.quora.com, de.quora.com or fr.quora.com.
Allow Quora once when Chrome asks.
Click Scrape. The extension collects each answer, then the comments and replies under it, and keeps going in a background tab.
Export to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets.

Limits: one question per run, and a run stops at about 3,000 rows (answers plus comments) or 2.5 minutes, so the file stays workable. Quora sometimes shows a number of answers it does not actually list (collapsed, merged-in or AI answers); the panel tells you the gap when that happens. If Quora asks you to log in to see more, sign in to Quora in that browser and run it again.

What it costs: scraping is free; exporting uses one credit per row. Free includes 500 a month, Pro $9.99 a month includes 10,000, and re-exporting a row you already exported is free.

Method 2: Answers by keyword, through an API

If you need answers about a topic across many questions rather than every answer to one question, the InsightSocial Quora API returns written answers matching a keyword, up to 10 per call, each with its text, author and credential, upvotes, views and the question it answers, as JSON. It costs 50 credits a call from the same balance as exports, and works today.

Method 3: Cloud scrapers

The Apify Store has third-party Quora actors that collect questions and answers by search or URL, billed per result; the most used, by fatihtahta (about 450 users in the last 30 days), cost $0.99 per 1,000 results when we checked in October 2026. They suit large, repeated collections; for one question, the extension is quicker.

Content research. Sort by upvotes or views to see which answers to a question in your niche actually get read, then write the better answer.
Product research. Filter answers that mention your product or a competitor and read the objections.
Find experts. Filter by credential to see who answers with authority in a topic.
Feed an LLM. Paste the top 50 answers by upvotes, with credentials, into a model and ask what they agree on.

Troubleshooting

Fewer answers than Quora's count. Quora's count includes collapsed and merged answers and sometimes AI answers it does not list. The panel reports the gap.

"Quora wants you to log in". Some questions show more to signed-in users. Sign in to Quora and run it again.

Security check. Reload the page, let it finish loading, then start again.

Answers in other languages. Each Quora language site has its own questions and answers. Open the question on that site.
