To export an X (Twitter) account's posts, open x.com/username in Chrome, click the InsightSocial extension, choose Posts, set how many (50, 100 or 300 per run) and click Scrape. Each row has the text, likes, reposts, replies, quotes, views, bookmarks, media and date. Followers and Following lists export the same way. Export to Excel, CSV, JSON or Google Sheets; exports are free up to 500 rows a month.

What you can export from an X profile

On a profile page, the InsightSocial panel offers four choices, one per run:

ChoiceWhat you get
PostsOne row per post: text, post type, media URLs, quoted-post preview, likes, reposts, replies, quotes, views, bookmarks, post URL, timestamp, and the author's username, display name and verified flags
FollowersThe accounts that follow this one: username, display name, avatar, bio, verified flags and follower count
FollowingThe accounts this one follows, with the same fields
Liked PostsPosts the account liked. X hides the Likes tab on other people's profiles, so this works on your own profile only

A separate profile-details export (bio, join date, website, follower totals as one row) is coming. Today the posts export carries each author's name, handle and verified flags, and the followers export carries each follower's bio and follower count.

Step-by-step: export an X account's posts

Step 1: Install InsightSocial

Add the extension to Chrome and pin its icon to the toolbar. Make sure you are logged in to X in the same browser; X shows little to signed-out visitors.

Step 2: Open the profile

Go to the account's page:

https://x.com/username

Step 3: Open the panel and choose Posts

Click the InsightSocial icon. The side panel detects the profile. Choose Posts, pick how many (50, 100 or 300), and click Scrape. The panel shows posts as they come in.

Step 4: Export

When the run finishes, open it on your results page and export to Excel, CSV, JSON or Google Sheets.

Tips

Spot accounts with weak engagement

Sort the export by views or likes per post. A large account whose posts get few replies or views is worth a second look before you pay it for a promotion.

Track an account over time

Export the same account once a month. Comparing posts per week, median views and engagement per post shows whether its strategy changed.

FAQ

How many followers can I export? For many accounts, X stops serving the followers list after about 50 to 70 accounts, however far you scroll. That is X's limit, not the extension's. Treat a follower export as a sample of the audience, not the full list.

Do I need to be logged in to X? Yes. The extension reads what your own logged-in session shows. Signed out, X shows almost nothing to scrape.

Can I scrape X search results? Yes. Open a search or hashtag page and choose Posts. Search runs pause when the tab is hidden, so keep that tab in front until the run ends.

Can I export the profile details (bio, join date, website)? Not as a separate export yet; it is coming. The followers export includes each follower's bio and follower count.

Is it legal to scrape X? Reading public posts is generally lawful, but X's Terms of Service restrict automated collection, and personal data in your export is covered by privacy laws such as GDPR. Don't scrape protected accounts, and use the data for research and analysis.
