Best TikTok Scrapers (2026): Chrome Extensions, Cloud and APIs
For TikTok data without code, a Chrome extension such as InsightSocial exports a video's comments with replies, a creator's videos, hashtag and search results to Excel (scraping is free; exports are free up to 500 rows a month), while Apify's clockworks TikTok Scraper ($1.70 per 1,000 results, $5 of free usage a month) is the better pick for bulk jobs, and TikTok's own Research API is open only to approved non-commercial researchers. For a followers list, know TikTok's limit first: its website shows a visitor about 30 accounts of someone else's list, so a browser extension that reads the page gets about 30. Cloud scrapers and APIs page further: Apify's TikTok Followers Scraper charges $1 per 1,000 profiles.
Checked November 2026. We make InsightSocial, so we are not neutral. This list includes the cloud tools, APIs and open-source projects that beat us for bulk work. We did not run the other tools: their prices, limits and user counts are what their own pricing pages, Apify listings, GitHub repositories and Chrome Web Store listings said when we checked in November 2026.

What makes TikTok hard to scrape
- Signed requests and infinite scroll. TikTok signs the requests that load more videos, so a copied URL stops working, and it decides when a feed runs out, whatever number you ask for.
- Follow lists are short for visitors. TikTok's website shows about 30 accounts of another creator's followers and does not ask for the next page.
- Displayed counts are not retrievable counts. A video's comment count includes deleted, hidden and filtered comments that TikTok no longer serves, so every tool returns fewer than the number on screen.
How we put this list together
We looked at the TikTok extensions that ChatGPT and Google surface for "TikTok scraper Chrome extension", the most used TikTok actors on Apify, the third-party APIs developers compare, and the most starred open-source project. For each we read its own pricing page, Chrome Web Store listing, Apify listing or README in November 2026. We did not benchmark other vendors' tools, so this list does not rank them by speed or completeness.
1. InsightSocial (Chrome extension)
Our free Chrome extension scrolls the TikTok page you open and captures what TikTok loads in your browser. It reads four kinds of page:
- A video: the video's numbers plus its comments. You pick 50, 100 or 250 top-level comments, and the replies to those comments come along on top. In a recorded run, a National Geographic video returned 250 comments and 244 replies in 31 seconds. See the TikTok Comments Scraper.
- A profile: the creator's videos, Latest or Popular, 50, 100 or 250 per run, with follower count, total likes and bio on every row (TikTok Profile Scraper). Or its followers or following list (about 30, see below).
- A hashtag: the videos under a tag with views, likes, comments, shares and saves. In our production runs a 100-video target usually returned 80 to 100 videos, and the largest hashtag run we have recorded returned 272 (TikTok Hashtag Scraper).
- A search: videos or user accounts for a keyword. The most we have recorded from one video search is 385; user searches have returned up to 250 accounts (TikTok Search Scraper).
Profile, hashtag and search runs keep going in a background tab. Exports go to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets.
Price: scraping is free on every plan; exporting uses one credit per row. Free includes 500 rows a month, Pro $9.99 a month (or $7.99 billed yearly) includes 10,000, Studio $49 includes 150,000, and one-time packs start at 1,000 rows for $5. Re-exporting a row you already exported is free.
Limits: one page per run, and no list of URLs to work through. Follow lists stop at about 30 accounts, because that is what TikTok serves to a visitor. It does not download video files. For a one-off without installing anything, our free TikTok Comment Exporter returns the first 50 comments of a video as a CSV.
Best for: marketers and researchers who want a video's full comment thread, or a creator's or hashtag's videos, in a spreadsheet without code.
2. T-FYP Scraper (Chrome extension)
T-FYP Scraper, by nifty.codes, lists about 1,000 users on the Chrome Web Store (updated October 2026). Its listing describes exporting videos, video comments with reply counts and threading data, user profiles, follower and following lists, and TikTok Shop products, to CSV, Excel, JSON or an HTML table. The listing says it offers in-app purchases but gives no prices or limits, so we cannot tell you what a large export costs.
Best for: one extension that covers TikTok Shop products as well as videos and comments.
3. Single-purpose TikTok exporters (Chrome extensions)
A crowd of small extensions do one TikTok job each. The three with the most users that we found:
- TTExporter (about 3,000 users, updated October 2026) exports followers and following lists to CSV or Excel. Free exports up to 200 followers or following; premium "up to 10,000 followers or following (the exact number depends on platform availability)". The listing gives no premium price.
- TTCommentExporter (about 10,000 users, updated November 2026) exports a video's comments, including replies, to CSV or Excel. Free covers up to 200 comments; premium pricing is on its subscription page, not the listing.
- TKCommentExport (about 2,000 users) exports comments to CSV, JSON or Excel. Its listing names no limits or prices.
We did not test whether the follower exporters get past the roughly 30 accounts TikTok's website shows visitors, so test one on an account you know before paying.
Best for: one job, done often, at a small monthly price.
4. Thunderbit (AI Chrome extension)
Thunderbit is a general AI scraper extension with about 100,000 users on the Chrome Web Store. It reads any page and suggests columns. Its own blog lists a free tier of 6 pages a month, Starter at $15 a month for 500 credits and Pro at $38 a month for 3,000. It reads what is on screen, so fields such as reply threads depend on the page layout. See InsightSocial vs Thunderbit.
Best for: teams scraping many different sites, TikTok among them.
5. Apify TikTok scrapers by clockworks (cloud)
The most used TikTok scrapers we found, and the right choice for volume:
- TikTok Scraper: about 34,900 monthly users and 383,000 in total. Profiles, hashtags, searches and video URLs, with optional video, subtitle and avatar downloads. From $1.70 per 1,000 results.
- TikTok Comments Scraper: about 6,700 monthly users. Comments with replies (set
maxRepliesPerComment), from $0.50 per 1,000 comments. Its own page says the number of comments returned may differ from what you ask for, and that reply extraction "is currently not guaranteed". - TikTok Followers Scraper: about 460 monthly users. $1 per 1,000 followers or following profiles, plus $0.001 per run. You set
maxFollowersPerProfile.
Apify's free plan includes $5 of usage a month; paid plans start at $19 a month. Runs can be scheduled and called through Apify's API. See InsightSocial vs Apify.
Best for: many creators or videos at once, recurring jobs, and pipelines.
6. TikTok Research API (official)
TikTok's Research API covers public accounts, videos, comments, and follower and following lists. Eligibility is narrow: academic institutions in the US, EEA, UK, Canada or Switzerland; not-for-profit research organizations in the EU; and, in Brazil, academic or not-for-profit groups studying online youth safety. Applicants must be independent of commercial interests. Approved projects get 1,000 requests a day and up to 100,000 records a day; the followers and following endpoints allow up to 2 million records a day, 100 per call.
Best for: university and non-profit research. Companies cannot apply.
7. Third-party TikTok APIs
If you write code, these sell TikTok data by the call:
- ScrapeCreators: $47 for 25,000 credits or $497 for 500,000, credits never expire, 100 free credits at signup. Its TikTok endpoints include comments, comment replies and following lists.
- EnsembleData: from $100 a month for 1,500 units a day, with a free trial of 50 units a day. A page of 30 comments costs 1 unit; a page of 100 followers costs 2.
- TikAPI: a paid unofficial TikTok API. Its site did not render plan prices for us, so check tikapi.io directly.
- InsightSocial API: our TikTok scraper API pages through comments, replies and followers with a cursor, priced per call in credits from the same balance as the extension.
Trade-offs are in best TikTok data APIs in 2026 and the TikTok scraping API guide.
Best for: apps, dashboards and data pipelines.
8. davidteather/TikTok-Api (open source)
The most starred open-source TikTok scraper: about 6,700 stars on GitHub, MIT licence, latest release v7.3.3 (April 2026). A Python wrapper that runs a Playwright browser, optionally with an ms_token from your TikTok cookies; its examples cover users, videos, comments, hashtags, sounds and search. Its README is clear about the limits: it reads only what a logged-out visitor can see, and you may need a proxy because TikTok blocks bot traffic.
Best for: developers who want a free script and can maintain it when TikTok changes.
How to scrape a TikTok followers list
What TikTok shows. For anyone who is not the account owner, TikTok's website loads one page of about 30 accounts from a Followers or Following list and does not request another. Waiting or retrying does not help. Lists shorter than one page, which covers most following lists, come back complete.
With a browser extension. In InsightSocial, open the creator's profile, pick Followers (or Following) and click Scrape. Runs take seconds and return about 30 accounts on most profiles; the result card says how many TikTok served against the account's real total. Each row has username, display name, bio, avatar, follower count, following count, video count, total likes, verified and private flags, and TikTok's stable sec_uid. Details on the TikTok Followers Scraper page.
With a cloud scraper or API. Tools that do not read the website page through follower lists in batches: Apify's TikTok Followers Scraper ($1 per 1,000), EnsembleData (100 followers for 2 units), the Research API for approved researchers (100 per call), and our own API's followers endpoint. Some extensions also claim more; TTExporter's premium tier says "up to 10,000". We have not measured how deep these go on accounts with millions of followers, so set a limit and check the first run.
What no tool gets. Private accounts' lists, and email addresses or phone numbers. A follow list carries public profile fields only; if someone wrote an email in their bio, it is in the bio column.
Which one should you use?
- A video's comments with replies, in Excel, no setup: InsightSocial, or our free TikTok Comment Exporter for the first 50.
- A creator's, hashtag's or search's videos in a spreadsheet: InsightSocial or T-FYP Scraper.
- Thousands of creators or videos, on a schedule: Apify's clockworks actors.
- A full followers list of a large account: a cloud scraper or API (Apify, EnsembleData).
- University research: apply for the TikTok Research API.
- Your own app: a third-party API, compared in best TikTok data APIs.
- Free and self-hosted: davidteather/TikTok-Api.
FAQ
What is the best TikTok scraper Chrome extension? It depends on the job. InsightSocial exports comments with replies, creator videos, hashtag and search results with exports free up to 500 rows a month. T-FYP Scraper also covers TikTok Shop products. Single-purpose extensions such as TTExporter (followers) and TTCommentExporter (comments) do one job each.
How do I scrape a TikTok followers list? Open the profile, open Followers, and run an extension such as InsightSocial; it returns about 30 accounts, which is what TikTok's website shows a visitor. For longer lists, use a cloud scraper or API such as Apify's TikTok Followers Scraper ($1 per 1,000) or EnsembleData.
Why does my TikTok follower scraper stop at about 30? That is TikTok's website, not the tool: it loads one page of roughly 30 accounts for anyone who is not the account owner and never asks for page 2. Tools that page through TikTok's data in other ways, such as cloud scrapers and APIs, return more.
Is there a free TikTok scraper? Yes. InsightSocial is free to install and scrape, with 500 exported rows a month free. davidteather/TikTok-Api is free open source. Apify's free plan includes $5 of usage a month.
Can I use the official TikTok API to scrape data? Only if you qualify. The Research API is limited to academic institutions in the US, EEA, UK, Canada and Switzerland, EU non-profit researchers, and Brazilian groups studying youth safety. Businesses use third-party APIs or scrapers instead.
